CheckHome
You can do it in the app, or write to us — if you no longer have it installed.
This is a translation for your convenience. The Slovak version is the binding one; if the two ever differ, the Slovak wording prevails. You will find it at Zrušenie konta.
The account is not deleted straight away — a seven-day cooling-off period begins. During it the app shows a Undo button and one tap puts everything back as it was. Once the period is over, the account is deleted.
If you have already uninstalled the app, send an e-mail to support@checkhome.app from the address you used to sign in to CheckHome, with Account deletion in the subject line.
We will deal with the request within 30 days at the latest. If you write from a different address than the one the account is registered to, we will have to verify that the account is yours — otherwise knowing somebody else's address would be enough to have their data deleted.
If it is a child's account without an e-mail address, the parent deletes it in the app, in the Family & Circles module. A child's account has no working e-mail address, so send the request for a child from the parent's address and give the child's name.

The family's shared data (tasks, shopping, calendar…), if somebody else remains in the family — it is their data too and we have no right to take it from them |
If you are the last signed-in member of the family, the whole family and all its data is deleted — tasks, shopping, calendar, maintenance, expenses, recipes and photos, the password vault. This cannot be undone and we have no backup we could restore for you: the content is encrypted with a key only you hold.
If you want to keep anything, do it before you submit the request.
Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription. The subscription is cancelled in Google Play — see the Terms of service.
Be aware, though, that a cancelled subscription also leads to your data being deleted, only more slowly: once it ends, a 30-day period runs, and if it is not renewed within that time the whole family's data is deleted irreversibly. In detail in the Terms of service, point 8.
If you only want to get rid of some of the data and keep your CheckHome account, there is no need to close it. There are three ways, and you can manage the first two yourself in the app.
Anything you entered into the app — a task, an item on the shopping list, a calendar event, a payment, a recipe, a maintenance due date, even an entry in the password vault — you delete in the module it belongs to. Deletion is immediate and applies to the whole family, because it is shared data.
Open Settings → Cleanup → Old data on the server, choose what counts as "old" for you (older than six months, say), and the app lists what it found, by category:
Nothing is deleted on its own — each category is deleted by holding a button down. The app also marks what you would probably rather keep (task statistics, for example).
That is the one thing which is not part of the family's data and cannot be deleted in the app. Write to support@checkhome.app from the address you use to sign in to CheckHome, with Delete feedback in the subject line. We will deal with it within 30 days at the latest.
What happens after deletion. The record disappears from the database immediately and we have no way to restore it — the content is encrypted with a key only you hold. It drops out of the database backups within 30 days at the latest. Your account, your family membership and your subscription are not affected; those remain in force.
